It's Back! Winter Art Camp 2011
Monday through Friday, December 19-23, 9am -12 pm
Tuition | $35 per day or $175 per week
$5 Material Fee per day and Reservations a must.

Winter is a magical time for your kids and why not put their time and energy to creating wonderful art projects. This camp will offer students their choice in mixed media collages, acrylic or oil painting, drawing, sculpting and custom skateboard designs. Come in for the day and choose a short project or spend the week completing a masterpiece. Summer art camp is a child's opportunity to be curious and creative outside of their traditional education. The Art Studio is a teaching environment that values the students freedom to express themselves, collaborate with others and problem solve through creative exploration. Each students is encouraged to work at their individual skill level. Beginners will learn the basic drawing skills that they can build on, while those with more experience can increase their knowledge.

Campers ages 8 to 17 year olds will work independently on their individual project and will be grouped by age. The sessions are limited to 10 - 12 students, with two professional art teachers assisting. At the end of the week a Friday Art Show will allow the students to highlight their week's accomplishments. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Campers ages 5 to 7 years old will learn about interpreting art as an expression of feelings as they enjoy creating projects. Art Educator, Toni Ivashkov, BFA, will instruct her students in painting and drawing, watercolor, collage, book-making, sculpture and self portrait sculpture. Toni has taught fine art workshops to children, teens and adults and is a working professional artist whose work has been widely exhibited throughout Southern California.

We will be limiting each session to 12 students so each child will get a lot of personal attention with instructors. The Art Studio offers a non-competitive environment with each child having individual projects just for them.

*There will be a break time for lunch or a snack. You may send a snack/lunch along with your camper or give them $5 to buy pizza or Mexican food in our Center. They will be supervised when they order and pick up food in either restaurant.
